Let Your Light Shine

Library Lighting Poster 2015

Lights will shine at the West Paris Library

The annual Let Your Light Shine event will be held at the West Paris Library at 226 Main St. on Friday December 7, at 6:30 pm, to celebrate the sparkling lights around the library building and the glowing red heart in the front window.

Following the illumination of lights, the Oxford Hills Ukulele Group will perform songs of the season. Refreshments will be served throughout the festivities.

Another attraction is a display of art by West Paris native Beverly Smith Glines.

The Library is currently raising funds to complete the repair of the masonry work on the “Little Castle,” the older section of the building. The Friends of the Library invite local and area residents and businesses to support this project with a donation made in memory of a loved one or to honor someone special. Their names will be recorded in “Our Lights are Shining” Memorial book.

Donations may be dropped off at the library, or sent to: Friends of the West Paris Library, PO Box 307, West Paris, Me. 04289.

For more information, please call the library at 674-2004. Hours are Monday and Friday, 1:30pm to 6pm, Wednesday 1:30pm to 7 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
