Sherry Grant is a retired educator and Maine native. She comes from a family of painters,wood carvers, jewelry makers, doodlers and musicians. Early on, her favorite Aunt Bev gave her a book of photography which inspired her to ‘look closely’ at the world around her. Years later, after retiring, Sherry began painting in acrylics and watercolors. She loves color and was told that acrylics was her ‘niche’ and it was, for a few years. But she had always admired watercolor paintings whenever she went to a gallery, so she took a course in Florida and has been loving it ever since.
Sherry is inspired by the natural world around her and enjoys how the paints and water join together and have a life of their own.
