WEST PARIS — Author Talk: West Paris Public Library is honored to host Maine Children's Book Author Kayla James on Sunday, June 14, from 2 - 3 pm.
In this engaging presentation, Kayla will read from and discuss her book "The Chronicles of a Guinea Pig", followed by an opportunity for questions from the audience.
As a former teacher and now Maine Children's Book Author, Kayla James knows exactly how to capture a young reader's imagination. Her work, including the popular The Chronicles of a Guinea Pig, often features character-driven stories inspired by the real-life antics of guinea pigs and cats. This summer is shaping up to be a busy one for the Auburn-based author, as she prepares for the summer 2026 release of The Chronicles of a Guinea Pig: Volume 2. When she isn't writing or visiting schools, Kayla can often be found enjoying theater performances, relaxing at the family's camp in Harpswell, or traveling to a new hidden gem.
Come meet the author! Admission for this fun family-friendly event is FREE! Delicious light refreshments will be served.
Copies of "The Chronicles of a Guinea Pig" will be available for purchase from the author.
