The ‘75 Scottys will play at The West Paris Public Library

Lauren Scott and Chris Borden are the musical duo, The '75 Scottys. Possibly you've danced to their lively tunes recently at the Family Friendly Community Contra Dance in Otisfield. Maybe you enjoyed their acoustic music last winter, while dining out on a Wednesday night at the Norway Brewing Co., where they routinely jammed. Now they are coming to the West Paris Library, (where Lauren is the assistant librarian!) Lauren is also The '75 Scottys’ fiddler and her husband Chris Borden plays the guitar and bodhran. They live in Otisfield, and have been playing together for five years. Please think St. Patrick's Day on March 24th, as there will be traditional Irish music for sure, as well as music from Quebec and Eastern Canada. They will give us toe tapping tunes and wistful waltzes. Winter will flee when we all gather at the West Paris Library for an afternoon of traditional music by The ‘75 Scottys.

The Friends of the Library invite you to a free concert on Sunday, March 24th, at 2:00 o'clock. If the weather is of concern, check the library website, (westparislibrary.org) or it’s Facebook page, also the library answering machine; or “cancellations” on Channels 6, 8 or 13. Please call the Library for more information at 674-2004.
